David D. Levine

David D. Levine is the author of novel Arabella of Mars (Tor 2016) and over fifty SF and fantasy stories. His story "Tk'Tk'Tk" won the Hugo, and he has been shortlisted for awards including the Hugo, Nebula, Campbell, and Sturgeon. Stories have appeared in Asimov's, Analog, F&SF, multiple Year's Best anthologies, and his award-winning collection Space Magic.

I have taught at the Alpha Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Workshop for Young Writers, Cascade Writers Workshop, and Rainforest Writers Village as well as numerous science fiction convention writers’ workshops, and have appeared on program at over a hundred science fiction conventions and writers' conferences. I presented a slide show about my two-week stay at a simulated Mars base at science fiction conventions and to audiences including Google and the Nebula Awards Weekend. I recorded an audiobook of my short story collection Space Magic and have narrated numerous podcasts of my own work and others'. I have also produced five video courses on technical topics for the online learning company Lynda.com.
