I am a veteran film critic for both mainstream and SF publications, and have written on classic SF fiilms for "Space and Time Magazine," "Clarkesworld," and "The Internet Review of Science Ficiton."  My collection of essays — "Jar Jar Binks Must Die… and other observations about science fiction movies" (Fantastic Books) — was a finalist for the Hugo Award for Best Related Work. My first novel, "Shh! It's a Secret: a novel about aliens, Hollywood, and the Bartender's Guide," was a finalist for the Compton Crook Award. My latest is "Time on My Hands: My Misadventures in Time Travel."
